Faulty download stats

Post by eminenz »

Hi,
Occasionally I will download a torrent on a seedbox,
then transfer it to my PC via ftp, open the torrent on my PC
and run a force-check. If the force-check reports 100%,
I then begin to seed on my PC (in addition to the seedbox).
So I haven't actually downloaded anything on my PC.
However, with one tracker, my PC regularly reports that I have downloaded
the complete torrent.
Any idea what the problem is?
Thanks so much for your help!

Take care some trackers detect dual uploading with the same passkey as a cheating tentative. Read well the rules.
The message you have match such I think (even if not really clear)

For my understanding what's the purpose of seeding locally if the torrent is still on the seedbox? The upload on this last one should be more interesting no? Or is this just free space on the seedbox that leads you to this behaviour?
If so you need to disable/delete the torrent on the seedbox and seeds only from your computer

Hi unseen,
Thanks for your thoughts. I download to the seedbox because it seeds better and I can better meet ratio obligations.
But I'm hoping someone can still weigh in on the problem of Qbittorrent on my PC counting the seeding as a download.
Cheers
