qBittorrent failed listening on interface: Too many open files

Hello everyone,

I am on Archlinux with the latest qBittorrent version (4.0.3).
I have a 3TB HDD with about 700 Torrents on a Intel G4600 with 16GB RAM.

I recently noticed that qBittorrent crashes every now and then and started to look into the problem:

1. I am getting an "I/O error" on one of the torrents.
2. qBittorrent is unresponsive and not seeding anymore.
3. This msg gets spammed into the log files every 2 seconds:

(C) 2018-01-18T21:13:05 - 0.0.0.0 port: TCP/31267. Reason: Too many open files.

Any suggestion on what could cause that problem?
I have used qBittorrent with that many torrents for a few months already with 20+ days uptime.
