qbittorrent with Firefox extension VPN?

Hi all, I'm using a Chromebook with Crouton installed. Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Firefox 68.
I want to use my VPN but Crouton only allows it to run as an extension in Firefox. Crouton does not allow me to install the VPN application. Crouton does not allow a Network Manager at all unfortunately.
Is there a way to use qbittorrent within Firefox? Or a way to direct the torrents to use Firefox's ports, so that the VPN is protecting them?
If the answer involves port forwarding or ip filtering, some links would be much appreciated as these are new to me.
