Qbittorrent wrong port

Post by Andi17 » Wed Jan 01, 2020 3:57 pm

I'm using PPTP VPN and qbittorrent. I'm using the right port in qbittorrent but qbittorrent send the wrong port to the tracker and i'm not connectable.
What can be the Problem?
I'm using rasperry pi4 with raspbian.

- any kind of VPN will render you passive/not-connectable.
- pptp vpn is not really a vpn, it does not encrypt at all, it's just like an unencrypted tunnel.

to fix your issue:
- use a provider that has port forwarding. Windscribe, torguard, etc.
- if you made your own vpn server, then you need to do port forwarding on the VPN server with iptables. I've done this, it's not too hard, it's basically like setting up NAT rules.
