How to resume torrent seeding after moving files

Post by eclipse291 »

I just turned as Pi 4 into my 24/7 seed box, however all of the files I was seeding are stored on another computer, as well as their torrent files. I was using Qbittorrent for windows before and now I'm using qbittorrent-nox if that matters. I know how to get the torrent files and full files they associate with to the new box, but I don't know how to associate those files with the torrent files and resume seeding. I'm sure this is a basic question, but I can't find a solution after looking for awhile. Thanks!

- put A COPY OF the downloaded files into the default download folder on your new machine
- just open the torrents one by one in qbittorrent
- they will recheck and start seeding
