change qbittorrent webi port

Hello,

I'm trying to change the qbittorrent web ui port to something else. When i use webui to change this im getting this error -

Unable to save program preferences, qBittorrent is probably unreachable.

but thats not true, i can access the torrent client. If i edit the qbittorrent.conf file directly, and after that if i restart the services, the conf file is reverting the changes back to port 8080.. why is that?
