Hi all,
i tried to downgrade to 4.3.3 on Unbuntu 20.04 but

apt install /path/to/qbittorrent-nox_4.3.3.99~202101191832-7248-da0b276d5~ubuntu18.04.1_amd64.deb

leads to

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
qbittorrent-nox : Depends: libboost-system1.65.1 but it is not installable

Any suggestions ?

Hi,

downgrade or upgrade?
did you made an apt update first?
Why not configuring the PPA https://launchpad.net/~qbittorrent-team ... ent-stable to get the update?
(you are on ubuntu so it's the easier move I think)

save your profile, uninstall the current app
find the correct package and dependencies
install

other way possible (depends of dependencies issues you face to)
save your profile, uninstall the current app
install QBT from the repo of Ubuntu (should be 4.2.x I guess)
upgrade to 4.3.3

thanks for your answer but i guess i had to solve it in another way.

the only way to avoide dependencies problems in the future was to compile a static version of qBittorrent-nox, which runs as standalone on all x64 linux-machines, what i did and this thread is (at least for me) solved.

it would be a very handy if there was a feature within qbittorent to choose the version.

but just for the curiousity: how to update to a certain version ? I installed Ubuntu-Repo-Version 4.1.7 and added ppa afterwards.
now it offers to update to 4.3.4.1. Hor to update to 4.3.3 only ? (apt-cache showpkg qbittorrent-nox does not show any other version than installed and 4.3.4.1)

As I'm soon being in a setup with the same version as you have, may I know the reason? (20.04LTS+Desktop will land nearly soon for me)
what's wrong with the 4.3.4.1?

A new compiled 4.3.4.99 just landed on the the PPA a couple of hours ago, maybe it worth the try

Anyway multiple older versions may be handy on the PPA I agree. At least the last and previous ones.
