[Help] Enable debug mode on linux?

Hello, thanks for taking the time to look at my post.
I have seen a couple of things about installing qBittorrent and enabling debugging mode. I was wondering if there was a way to turn on debugging without reinstalling BitTorrent, like changing the qBittorrent.conf file or something? If not, I'm not 100% sure I will be able to ./configure --enable-debug as I have a "checking for Qt5 qmake >= 5.12... not found" problem I can seem to fix (yah it's installed ).
