Here's my current setup:
- I have a HDD connected via USB3 to a RPi 4 (running Lakka)
- The drive is mapped on my Windows 10 machine using SMB
- qBittorrent (4.2.2) is running on the Windows machine and the Save Path is set to the mapped drive (Z:\Torrents\)
This setup has been working for almost a year without a problem.
I have a 100MBi connection and I'm usually able to download at about 10-12MB/s
But, for some reason, about a week ago the download speeds dropped to about 0.5 - 2.2MB/s
However, transfers to/from that share using Windows Explorer are able to reach the expected ~10MB/s
It's only when using qBittorent that the speed drops so drastically.
Any ideas?
Oh, and one last thing: if I change the Save Path to a local drive on the Windows machine, everything works just fine; so the problem is only with qBittorrent writing the SMb mapped drive.
Slow downloads via SMB on an external HDD hosted on an RPi

Çorrection: before I mentioned that the RPi4 is running Lakka, I meant to say it's running LibreELEC.
