Currently the answer is no.

Will it ever happen, probably not. Chrome isn't 'that kind' of operating system.

Now I am curious on how you mean that expression. Could you explain it a little more please?

Chrome OS is aimed at being a "thin client application" operating system rather than a  "fully installed applications" operating system, Google have been trying to push it into a "packaged applications" position for nine or ten months without it gaining much ground though.
