Torrent hash calculation logic

Hi.
I am trying to use web api. After upload torrent from disk response is empty. For working with added torrent I should know hash. I can calculate it manually, but I don't know calculation logic. Can someone explain the logic? Hash is 40 symbols string. I guess it's a sha1 hash of something...
