good morning guys,

I am still shocked that I only found qbittorrent this year after using for YEARS other crappy version of (napster, utorrent and other variants)

very happy to be here.

not sure if there is a walkaround for this but:
  • start download of file in C:
  • complete download without moving directory
relocate the completed folder into another location
qbittorrent is unable to recheck file and confirm files has completed
I need to remove the torrent file and redownload the file to tell it the files are located elsewhere

Use "Set location".

Another question, similar to above;

How do you load a freshly created torrent, and start seeding again?

I used the Torrent Creator to host some files - it created the *.torrent file and started seeding immediately (100%). Then I inadvertently deleted the torrent from the list. I tried loading the *.torrent file, but it shows 0%. Download location and hosting location were not the same so, it made sense - I tried to "Set location" and "Force recheck", but it wouldn't start "checking".

In the end I just recreated the torrent with Torrent Creator...
