qBittorrent official forums

Hello there, I am using qbt and am a bit concerned about my ip being leaked, so I wanted to know if the proxy option (http) is completely safe.
I tried ipmagnet to see what my ip is and indeed it was my proxy server's ip but I don't know if it's consistent, like when I close my laptop and open it after a while will it for sure use the proxy server to route my traffic and only that?

If you set the proxy, qBittorrent will ONLY go through that. It's a fixed, set thing. It cannot bypass that setting, unless you mess it up somehow.
