You can use the inbuilt Snipping tool. This is the most functional of all the methods. Features:

Free-form Snip : As the name suggests, you are free to draw any shape on the screen and that part of screen is snipped(=screenshot is taken).

I had exactly the same problem. I installed old versions but to no avail. Changed settings, but nothing seemed to work.
Very occasionally it would work, but those working sessions were getting fewer and further apart.
In the end I worked on the only other program that had control over QBitTorrent.
That program was obviously my VPN.
Finally after a lot of trial and error I managed to get it to work.
I my self use PIA as my VPN so not sure if this will work with other VPN's but my feeling is it most likely will.
Anyway, back to my solution.
Use VPN as you should always do when using any torrent program.
But try switching off any and all options for the kill switch operation.
I switched all 3 of the options in PIA - Privacy
1:/ VPN Kill Switch
2:/ Advanced Kill Switch
3:/ PIA MACE

I hope this cure works for everyone with this problem, I know it drove me mad over a few weeks, but hopefully mine is now going, and I live in hope it works for everyone.
I Hope the VPN people start fixing whatever it is that interferes with torrent downloads.
