missing: "Disable connections not supported by proxies"

Hi I am new to the qbt,
NordVPN has a step by step to get qbit to work, but only Windows version.
On Mac I can't find the "disable connections not supported by proxies" checkbox.
How can I secure this? Is it safe to use without?
