Another test build, time for testing - QBittorrent 3.1.1

Post by wowzaman12 »

Anyways, last round of testing of my released binary of qbittorrent for Mac OSX but had some issues using brew, and some time passed before I could figure something out. So this build is now using a macports compile of qt and libtorrent-rasterbar+boost so it should work now.

Sha1 checksum: b71b314f799da7a09cd8e67e71d8db4b8da92b69

Download is available at my copy folder by clicking this link here Now in DMG Format!
I haven't tested in a vm yet, but I will be setting up soon in case if a problem does crop up with this build

EDIT:  So that we don't bug the developers about bugs in my build, and to keep the board clean as possible (as sometimes it's hard to track bugs properly on a forum) I set up sf.net project and you can post tickets there https://sourceforge.net/p/maccompiles/tickets/ and when every bug in my builds are squashed maybe we can get it mainlined (if the project developers want) into the download page on the qBittorrent website. Issue Tracker is linked here
List of Bugs
  1. First reported Ticket - Status, not fixed yet
List of Todo
  1. Check out the search plugins and verify if this is an issue in 3.1.1

I don't count it good until I hear from other users if it works or not :P

On OS X Mavericks, there is no libssl:

Code: Select all

Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libssl.1.0.0.dylib

it should be loading the ssl library from within the app bundle and yes mavericks always includes libssl, just I'm using macports openssl instead of the system provided one. I'll review it asap

Thank you for looking at it so quickly.

I have yet to enjoy this app, i posted this earlier today before i saw your forum builds:

https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/1064

Don't know if it is related to mavericks?

unknown, I haven't tested the search plugins yet, maybe once I'm finished looking at why the bundle isn't looking at the provided libssl library I'll take a quick look.

also updated my main post regarding issue tracking, just to keep my builds bugs tracked a little better, I've setup a project page on sf.net and tickets can be submitted here https://sourceforge.net/p/maccompiles/tickets/
EDIT: Applied a change to the info.plist file that I saw on macports, changing the DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH to the frameworks folder in the app bundle, it should work, if not please make not of it in the tickets page so I can keep track of things. My VM is still not setup, but it should be relatively soon so I'll test future changes and hopefully have less stuff break.

I tested it, it still breaks at the same place.

Code: Select all

Dyld Error Message:

according to sourceforge download stats you didn't download the new build at all, so looks like you maybe still executing the old build.
Though sourceforge has been known to... be unreliable sometimes. Should of went with bitbucket or something

@Zach Thibeau

sf.net doesn't change the stats immediately.
