Is it only while seeding, uploading? Did you tried with OS cache disabled?

It's been faulting once per day every day. Like I said, It seems to run for a certain amount of time then crash for the exact same reason. In case it helps, I average about 8Mb/s upload 24/7.

Yes to both seeding and OS Cache disabled. I have the Read cache set to 4096MiB and 600s, which is the max for both.

On this topic, how difficult would it be to increase the max cache size? Seeding has been pretty high today, hanging around 5-6MiB/s. I think I'll install 3.3.6x64 Lib 1.0 and see how it goes.

edit: Looks like I was using 3.3.5 lib 1.1  "use at your own risk". That may have been the issue. Not sure. But we'll see how 3.3.6 lib 1.0 does.

24 hours and 235GiB uploaded later, seems to be working fine with 3.3.6 w/ Lib 1.0
Update: 48 hours and 460GiB later

Hi, it's my first post here, so, hello everyone :) I'm french, so, I'm sorry for my broken english.

I just migrated forum utorrent 2.2.1, and I love qBittorrent, mainly because on my setup, the cache seems to be better used. Anyway, I encouter a bug with the 3.3.6 x64 version. Every time I activate the ip filter, then close the client, It crash when I want to launch it again later. I've to edit the .ini conf file, and set ipfilter to false, and then It starts again.

Kind of like this bug : https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/5428

It this normal that the bug still exist on the lastet 3.3.6 downloaded here ?

Thx a lot :)

EDIT : Well, it's working with 3.3.6 + lib 1.0  So I guess It's a problem with lib 1.1, so, my bad, you warned us about using it.

About the ip filter crashing: Yes, it is a libtorrent 1.1.0 bug. The changelog from 1.1.1 mentions a fix for that.

Also for @Henry63 about ram usage and 1.1.0: I too have been observing unusually high ram usage compared to 1.0.x series. That's why official stable builds stay on that libtorrent series. I hope I can find time to coordinate debugging efforts with the libtorrent author.

Not sure if ram usage and cache usage are closely related, but i've noticed the cache seems to get stuck at 662/663mb, no matter if the timeout is set to 60s, or 200s during an active torrent using at least 500mbit bandwidth. That was with the lib 1.1 version, trying lib1.0 now.

Edit: 64bit 3.3.6 lib1.0 runs very well for me, seems to be much more stable than official release.

Hello.

Just to say that the x64 version (qBittorrent-3.3.7-release-3.3.7-0-g88f5907-libtorrent1.0-x64-setup.exe) fixed all the I/O errors and program freezes I was experiencing with the x86 version while uploading at high speeds (100Mbps+), more information on this thread --> index.php/topic,4544.0.html

Since I installed the x64 version today (09h WEST), I've uploaded 730GB with no errors or freezes so far.

Regards.
