silly question but does it matter if you install over an existing qbittorrent installation when updating as opposed to uninstalling it first?
[/quote]

The current official installer runs the uninstaller silently before the actual installation keeping the settings and torrents. You only need to uninstall manually if you would like to change the uninstaller's options.

It worked very well just after start-up.
But now, after 12-15 hours of running the program, qBittorrent is not capable  of making any µtp connections.
It sort of start the handshaking but something goes wrong and the connection is dropped or in some cases just stay without doing anything.

After disabling µTP the upload speed after some time got back to normal.

A small update from my side :):

Im running sledge's build (v3.1.3) and Dayman's builds (also v3.1.3,) on 2 different machines. The 64-Bit version is up and running for almost 3 days straight with only seeding torrents (101 currently) and its doing a great job. Same for sledge's build, with 23 torrents. I don't care if its uTp or TCP while seeding (TCP is faster compared to uTp in general with my experience) as long as it seeds im happy with it. I see more uTp connections while downloading compared to uploading/seeding, even hours later when I add a new torrent uTp seems working fine. Didn't see any weird things till now for both of them. Didn't experienced what jeps said but I will take a closer look at it from now on.

Great work and thx but 3.1.4 is very unstable at my system, losing main program configuration after qBit' freeze crash and problems with launching a client - only installing it again fix launching but after a normal system restart... the problem is again. Well im going back to the good 3.1.3.

Great sledge (and Dayman), thanks alot.

EDIT: sledge is this normal that the options screen gets like this? It is stretchable but you need to stretch it pretty wide to see the details within the settings.

Image

EDIT2: Ignore it, Its okay now. Stretched back to the normal size :P. Was my fault :).

Yes its working good. I had it running the whole night with only seeding torrents active and I think that uploading over uTp seems somehow better with this new version (higher speeds and more stable) which is also a good thing. Restarted my system and ran qBittorrent again and all my settings are intact. Thanks again guys.

Same thing happened for me, so it's not your fault, but a bug.
Of course, resizing it is easy, but it doesn't give of a good first impression for new users.

No problem here with the option dialogue. (3.1.4 or 3.1.5)
