The alpha shows libtorrent 16.17? While the page shows libtorrent 1.0.1svn+r10217.

I fixed the post. I have 2 versions of libtorrent compiled on my machine 0.16.x and 1.0.x and I switch between them when test building. I forgot that I had switched to the 0.16.x prior to building this.

So wouldn't this last build be considered a 3.1 alpha since it was built with libtorrent 0.16.17.0? Is it meant to test the upcoming 3.1.10 release?

No. It is built using the code from git master aka v3.2.0.
v3.1.x leaves in a separate branch (aka git v3_1_x )

OK but since libtorrent 0.16.17 is used, that means no separation of anonymous/force_proxy. Is this correct?

Excellent, by unchecking "Use OS cache" the program no longer consumes all of my RAM over time. I'm back to using qBittorrent full time.  ;)

Now, I wonder if anyone is going to read this and finally understand or accept that the excessive caching problems with BitTorrent clients IS actually a M$ Windows caching problem and that BT clients are simply the catalyst.

We can only hope that they do.

Well, the v3.1.10 changelog will mention this option. If the user doesn't care to read it there's nothing we can do about it.

Here is a build of qBittorrent 3.2.0alpha sha1 487ca568 from git master with:
boost 1.56
libtorrent 0.16.17svn+r10214
qt: 4.8.6

Built using gcc 4.9.0.

Git changelog from last alpha: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorr ... ..487ca568

http://builds.shiki.hu/qbittorrent_3.2. ... _setup.exe

PS: avast antivirus will complain about the UAC.dll when you launch the installer. I have self-compiled that dll from the source included in src/windows/nsis plugins (read the instructions src/windows/README.txt). It is a false positive.
