Guys, it's not a good idea to download in the system partition of the HDD. All downloads, any files, etc. should be in the other partitions (D:\Download for example). In the system partition must to be only the OS and programs.

Here is qBittorrent 2.9.5 built with MSVC 2008 express. Sorry it took so much time to make a release but I have some time consuming obligations in real life.
With this release/build the IO errors should be fixed. Also the "memory leak" when doing a "force recheck" under Windows 7 should be fixed too. If you encounter bugs/errors please report them.

I have uploaded the build on Sourceforge and older clients should auto-update. Since Christophe Dumez has chosen me as a Windows package maintainer, this build should be considered 'official'.

This build uses the 0.15.x series of libtorrent. Later, I may provide a 0.16 test build.

Libtorrent: 0.15.10
Qt: 4.8.0
Boost: 1.49.0

Welcome back sledge good to see you here again. Thanks for the build, downloaded ;). Btw fszymanski made 2.9.5 also (see Windows section, its sticked) but that one is build with MSVC 2010 and yours is MSVC 2008, does that make a difference? I think not but im not sure.

It shouldn't make any measurable difference in terms of quality as far as I know.

The everyday user should not feel the difference.

Thanks for the answers and your efforts, both work flawlessly and very stable with 15.10 :).

Auto update works fine, the program too, no problems.
Thanks, sledgehammer_999 :)

I did a 0.16 build but libtorrent trunk seems broken(or is it qbt's support of 0.16??) Qbt(libtorrent) doesn't seem to recognize any .torrent file as a valid torrent file. I don't time to hunt down this problem. So there will be no 0.16 test build of qbt.

I suppose you read the post too quickly and followed the old links(from the original first post).
Here is the link again http://sourceforge.net/projects/qbittor ... e/download

Here is qBittorrent 2.9.7 built with MSVC 2008 express. This is built with libtorrent 0.16.0 and it has uTP support.

I can't upload the binary on sf.net. Christophe seems to have removed my upload permissions. Enjoy your 300 seconds(5min) wait :(

Sledgehammer, aren't there a lot of new features with 0.16 that need extra config pages before we can take full advantage of 0.16?

As far as I know it is a simple switch that enables utp support and it works(check the connection type in the peers tab). Maybe there are some parameters that can be changed for the utp support but for now Christophe has chosen to use the default ones internally. I have now if he will expose more configuration options in the next releases.

Direct link (if you don't mind):
qbittorrent_2.9_.7_setup_.exe
It changes the file name a bit, but the download is much faster.
