How do I extract qbittorrent.exe from qbittorrent_4.3.7_x64_setup.exe ?

The 7-zip says that he can't recognize the file format. Is there a 8-zip or 9-zip can recognize that file ?

Someone told me that you can first install qbittorrent and copy qbittorrent.exe & qbittorrent.pdb and uninstall qbittorrent.

He is right. But when new version is coming, I will install & uninstall again till no more new version.

I think that author is happy with us install & uninstall qbittorrent.

Anyone can fix this annoying problem ?

7zip does correctly extract qbittorrent.exe from the install package qbittorrent_4.3.7_x64_setup.exe by utilizing Windows Explorer right-click context menu -> select 7-Zip -> select either Open Archive or Extract Files menu options. The installer is 26.2 MB (27,516,526 bytes) with a CRC-32: 23fbfb1c, MD5: ed9e5fac69ee78dafd78d19851cbe3d8, SHA-1: 0ee38df19a537975cf5af66cfe2e28fb56b89c3c, SHA-256: d5ac29880966fd8e05daf6c9f95c303ba36caf505767c512d6e4d2f19d802f29

Edit the Wiki with corrected information if it is wrong.

I hope that I am the only (normally happy) user who is having problems with the ("qbittorrent_4.3.8_x64_setup.exe") installer in a Win10Pro desktop.
Even attempting to upgrade to V4.3.8 using 'admin privileges' results in nothing.

Make sure that your download wasn't incomplete / corrupt. I have attempted to install V4.3.8 upon 3 different downloads of the same executable and checked hash but it still will not launch (or do anything) once launched. The TaskManager shows no running processes or services related to the qBT installer... Maybe V4.3.9 won't misbehave like this release version...

If you find it inconvenient to run the setup installer, then extract the fully functioning client from the setup installer, using 7-Zip as explained several posts earlier. PEBKAC is likely because an overly protective antivirus is interfering with your life, or your computer just hasn't been rebooted in a while, or who knows. The installer works for 10's of thousands of people so far. 7-Zip works for everyone else.

My trusted PowerArchiver was utilized to unpack and successfully install the V438 update.
(Win10 built-in anti-Virus is the only aV running when package was refusing to upgrade.)
