qbittorrent on Asustor NAS

Post by heffa »

I've just got my first NAS, an Asustor AS1002T v2. I've got it all set up except for a torrent client.
I'm sure I'm missing something basic, but I cant work it out.
Installed qbittorrent (along with Portainer and Docker). Opening QBT to the port 18181 I just get the message "Unauthorized"
Pleeeeease help out a NAS newb

The .conf looks a bit emaciated, but I'm not sure how to rectify it

It helps to read the instructions on the asustor app page for qbittorrent:

default username is admin and default password is adminadmin

webui is going to be https://<IP of NAS>:18181

I found that the NAS page tries sending you to the http version instead.

Also firefox defaults to forced https, so when trying to access an http page that doesn't have an https redirect, it will keep you from connecting.
