I would like to add a new IRC link to the top (I know it's in a news, but even I'm lazy to install a client on my PC).
So... I need something as the client, some web-based stuff. Java is way too fat for this, especially if you don't develop/have Java at all.
What plugins / projects you know that I could use for this?
Any good web IRC clients? (probably not java based)

Never used them but a quick search shows these 2 addons for firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/el/firefox/addon/chatzilla/
https://addons.mozilla.org/el/firefox/a ... rc-client/

I mean, something that you can embed to a site. You know, not a plugin but a page (php, html5, whatever) that could connect to Freenode.
Well if our room needs registered status, I'll add a user/pass auth to the beginning as well.

KiwiIRC looks sexy: http://kiwiirc.com/ (javascript+node.js)

Alrighty then! (Looks neat indeed.)
I'll add this soon.
(Hope you guys don't mind. The IRC channel was quite silent when I was up... tried it several times. Hopefully this will bring some life to it.
And well, anyone who knows IRC can join up. I'll add a HexChat dl link + tutorial too.)

Oh God, I totally forgot about this.
Oh-kay, I'll do this tomorrow. Sorry.

IRC added, I'll make those two external links stick out a bit more.

Nice shiki. I wanted to register my name (same as forum, Nemo) but isn't possible. It says that it is already being used by someone somehow . I will go in there now and then and see how it goes.

Eheh i thought about asking you if you had made any progress on this although i already use HexChat...Hmmm maybe i should visit the qBt IRC chan now that i think of it.
I'm sure that this will draw some people in. Judging by the tracker chans i'm on, i can see a ton of people using web clients these days! Easier than installing a full client for many of them.

Just register some different "qbNemo" for example or smth.
Freenode got a gazillion registered names, so it's not surprising.
Or you can be "Nemo-" or similar too.
@Seed: Well, let's hope so.
I wasn't sure which window height should I use, I wanted to be on the safe side.
But you can just edit the source with Firefox or Chrome and set the height for yourself.

Guys, I have not used IRC since late 90's and early 2000's
I checked it, very good that it have a dark theme. My nick is the same as here.
@shiki, great job, cheers!
Maybe the news in the channel needs an update.
