A speed question, not a speed issue.

Hello. I am just getting used to qbitorrent so I probably will be asking a few other questions. As a former user of utorrent, I am looking for the shortcut to the internal speed test to help you set the best parameters. If Qbtorrent doesnt have that, how do I find out "generalities" as to how to set things up?

I read your speed question primer - here are my settings:

Connections: Global maximum and per torrent. - 500

Upload slots: Global maximum and per torrent - 50

Max upload slots - 8
Max upload per torrent - 4

Global rate limits
upload = {checked}50KiB/sec
Download = {unchecked}100 Kib/sec

Enable bandwith management {checked}(utp)
Apply rate limit to transport overhead {unchecked}

Alternative rate limits
upload = 10 kib/sec
dnload = 10 kib/sec

Half-open connection value ?? - I dont see this setting anywhere.

Is uTP on or off ???? - I dont see this setting anywhere.

Rate limit uTP - ?????? - I dont see this setting anywhere.

Encryption on or off  - ?????? - I dont see this setting anywhere.

IPv6 on or off - I dont see this setting anywhere.

Connection status? (the icon on the status bar will tell you)

Are you using a proxy? - No.

What type of user profile are you?

Do you seed more than download? or vice versa? DL, but basically vice versa

How many tasks do you expect to run on average? 1 maybe 2

Do you use the machine for other tasks simultaneous with BitTorrent downloads - Yes

Are there other users on the LAN? Varies.

So for starting points:

uTP: on with no rate limiting
upload slots: as is
connections: global 200
per torrent: 50
half-open: 10 - 15.

Download rate 4 - 5 MiB/s
Upload rate: 2 - 4 MiB/s

I will try these settings as soon as I start another dl.

In the future are you planning to have an {somewhat} automated way to input these settings? But I bet you like the personal hands on way of solving these problems.
