Missing files after changing which drive letter my download hdd has.

As it says in the title I have changed the drive letter from D:\ to E:\ . I have changed the setting of my new download folder. I try to point the downloaded files I have to the new location but it doesn't change. If I check again it thinks the location is still on the D:\

You will have to reset the location of each task, as changes to the folder locations are NOT applied to loaded tasks retrospectively.

Do you mean to change each files location using the right click context menu on each individual task?

Yep, or hard link / sym link the original location to the new.

And before you say that qbittorrent should handle it, it is not qbt that needs to. It is because the protocol engine libtorrent stores the payload location in the individual "fast resume" files when initially loaded.
