Post by chaoticbeliever »

I use qbittorrent and use WinRAR to open my torrents and whenever I download torrents they work completely fine BUT! about a day later the data completely delete! not the file or the ability to access it just the data! I've tried using a different version of the torrent but get the same results all the time! please help.

Filename + pathname too long? (has to be <254 characters long)

Is it trying to move the torrents when finished downloaded to a nearly full drive?
...or a "deep" directory path that causes it to exceed the max filename+pathname length?

^^ as above, but the parent download path also has to be taken into account too

Another answer: if it is an ebook, Calibre has a feature that edits the file to save the current position of the book. So when QB checks it again, the checksum is wrong and the file is of a different size too, QB starts to download the changed bytes. This feature can be changed in calibre as not to save changes.
Calibre ebook viewer > Preferences > Miscellaneous Options > Untick...
"Remember last used window size and layout".
"Remember the current page when quitting".
"Keep a copy of bookmarks inside ebook file for easy sharing"

Another answer:  The file contains a virus (or is unwanted like a MS keygen) and you a/v has killed it
