I can download quite quickly. I rarely see anything uploading. Perhaps my settings are off. Please help. I used to use utorrent with no problems. Now I feel like a fish out of water!
TIA
Best Settings that will allow uploads
Re: Best Settings that will allow uploads
- Make sure you have a good port forward going on.
- Make sure you are trying to seed something that people want.
- If you have those two, you can always just grab like TONS of freeleech torrents from the tracker and lay in wait. People will come grab them sooner or later and then there is your chance.
With low upload speed however, it's hard to compete in big trackers against seed servers.

Re: Best Settings that will allow uploads
I also have the same problem and have looked online forums everywhere for a fix, I previously used uTorrent with no uploading issues, however after Catalina I needed to move to qBittorent, I can download any file easily, and despite large peers and seeds on popular and current torrents I cant get any uploads working regardless of settings changed
Can anyone help me with ideal settings for Catalina OS to maximise Uploads/Seeding, as its impacting my ratio for torrent site and before catalina and changing to qBittorrent never had any such issues
Thanks so much!

Re: Best Settings that will allow uploads
I am the same and my seeds all end up in Error ?? I too had no probs on UTorrent but cannot get QB. to work properly at all. My ratios are not good and I have seeded these files for days ?? I am not technical so this is pretty frustrating trying to find an answer. TIA

Same issue here, MacOS Big Sur, latest qBit.
Re: Best Settings that will allow uploads
Hi,
It's not a speed issue, it's something related to the ISP or the Mac. I've 800-900 Mbps either way (speedtest results) and keep the Qbit open (maybe sometimes the system goes to sleep when I forget to inhibit the screen saver, but that should not be a reason), checked filelist has permission to store cookies. I always have 0 seeds and no upload statistics (just overhead traffic, no payload) and I have a bunch of screenshots to prove the config doesn't limit uploads. At some point I followed an advice specific to my ISP, saying that I need to enable Dynamic DNS, but this ended badly (took almost a day to regain full operational status).
I just need some advice on what to check and fix.
Best regards,
Felix

Re: Best Settings that will allow uploads
Meanwhile... I've downloaded a couple of freeleech movies that should present some interest (won Oscars last night) and now upload is working, but not at the rate I was expecting. Anyway, this proves the upload links go through, even if at no great rate. I'll investigate some more and let everybody else know the conclusions.
Thank you Peter for the notification.
