Support for < windows 7

Post by jofthepioneer »

Hi,

Can I ask why support for the previous version of windows 7 has been dropped. I am still an avid user of this version of windows to run this software.

can I be reinstated in any way?

thanks

Use an older version if needed to (but not supported here). Best to keep and use everything updated instead using outdated software, especially when connecting to the internet/P2P.

I mean, Windows 7 -> 10 upgrade is still legal and supported and the two systems barely differ. I'd just upgrade... I mean I did upgrade every PC I supervise and even the most basic users couldn't notice the change. I do install Open Shell on their computers but that's about it.

Ps.: The lack of a proper new control panel bothers me to no end but whatever, can live with that.
