Hi,
I have been researching this and have not found any information and was wondering if anyone has seen this or has any ideas on it?
System info:
Win 10 pro
Bit Defender
qBittorrent
Preface:
I've completely scanned and secured my machine to ensure it is not an infection here. I am doubtful that Bitdefender has not returned a false positive as far as an infection goes as it is detecting access to the site. I know the two are different, infection vs detected network traffic, but the chance is pretty low that it did not detect something should there be an infection.
The problem:
I keep receiving notices from Bitdefender that qBittiorrent is attempting to access http://zz.ht
In looking up zz.ht I find it it some form of questionable cloud storage. (image attached)
I only get this alert being tagged as part of qBittorrent access and it's happening at least twice a day.
Has anyone else seen this or know what it might be in relation to qBittorrent?
Below is the notice I receive from Bitdefender
Feature: Online Threat Prevention
We blocked this dangerous page for your protection:
https://zz.ht/
Accessed by: qbittorrent.exe
Dangerous pages attempt to install software that can harm the device, gather personal information or operate without your consent.
Checks and tests:
Full system scan for infections.
Verified it is not a pre-loaded tracker in the tracker list.
Searched all qBittorrent settings for any indication of cloud storage, zz.ht, or the like.
If anyone has any insight into this I would greatly appreciate the help.
