Acronis True Image says 'possible ransomware detected'

Post by cinder »

Acronis has paused the program that modified your files. The affected files are:

c:\Program Files\qBittorrent\qBittorrent.ini
c:\Program Files\qBittorrent\qBittorrent-data.ini
c:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\iconcache_idx.db
c:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\iconcache_32.db
c:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\iconcache_16.db

I can see why qBittorrent would want to modify its own files, but not the last 3.

Please advise, thank you. Version is v4.2.5 (64-bit).

Oh no, Acronis is AWFUL. This feature is, at least. I oversee an office where they have this and Acronis broke SO MANY software it is insane. Please, disable this feature. It's not properly developed and does nothing but cause headache.
