Hi guys, I am a noob, but I have a bit of free time and I like to have fun with a bit of customization, so I tough it wuold be fun to learn how to do it for qBittorrent.
Could you direct me into what to read/watch to learn how to create a custom theme?
I know there are few custom themes around, and I would like to edit them, but I didn't actually understood what exactly should I edit and how to compile it after
like in this mini tutorial, it's not very clear to me what step 3 and 4 mean

Why use a complex way of theming instead of just using some icon PNG's and an INI file or similar?
What's the point of creating the ability to theme an app then making it so difficult that you need to learn how to program in order to create your own theme!!!
Sorry, but I just don't get it. This isn't the only app at fault here either, many other dev's do this and it's pointless adding theming to an app when it's a specialist subject and is not in any way clear how to do it.
None of the instructions I've read or the theme files I've downloaded are of any help in this matter.
Basically I download Qt, from where? The links provided are either dead or incorrect, or have no link to actually download Qt on the page they link to. Then you have to install something that has a single purpose of creating a theme for ONE app that once done, will likely never be used again, least, not by me. And that's before you learn the code for theming and then compiling!!! All for a task that should be simple for the user.
Apologies for the rant, especially on a first post. But I've come from years of uTorrent use onto Deluge, which is never updated, to find this great app that has this common fault that is so annoying!
Your time and effort in this regard is very much appreciated. There are only a small group of torrent apps that are worthy of use, this is very high on that list! Excellent app, just please can you change this theming malarkey!

Arrived here looking for info on theming this app (I just wanted to change the colours of torrents according to state) and damn if this is a hugely convoluted way that could be fixed with an xml or ini file. Why why why? Had to reg to this forum just for this, won't bother messing with the colours, this is too much effort, they'll all stay the same colour.
