Raspberry Pi with Private Internet Acces

Post by buckbaggen »

Hi there,

I have a Raspberry Pi with qBittorrent on it and also Private Internet Acces on for safer downloads. Works fine!

I also have an own VPN to my router, so i can connect to my home network when i'm not home. This is OpenVPN on my Synology router.

Works fine, i can connect to my computers with remote desktop... Connect to my Raspberry's with VNC Viewer... Can connect to other devices on the web-ui.

Like my router 10.0.1.1:8000
my NAS 10.0.1.2:5000
My Plex server 10.0.1.8:32400

Everythin works fine, without any configuration or port forwards, because i'm on my local network trough my VPN on my router.

BUT, qBitorrent doesn't work, I can't reach the web ui.
When i'm on my home network, wired and wireless it works fine when i go to 10.0.1.9:8080 from every device. But when i'm not home and i connect to my home network with OpenVPN i cannot reach 10.0.1.9:8080 and i don't know why? Because i can reach all other web-ui's on other Raspberry's/servers en connect to computers with remote desktop, vnc viewer and web-ui's from my router, NAS etc...

Help please :)

i even tried to configur it on my WAN IP adres. So i added a port forward in my router;

port 8080 UDP and TCP (public and private) forward to 10.0.1.9

Then i tried without my VPN from outsiter to connect to: WANIP:8080

Also doesnt work :(
