qBittorrent hangs on startup; strange torrent list

qBittorrent has been working, but now hangs on startup and the torrent list looks strange. Here's a screenshot.



I've tried to remove preferences, but I don't think I've found them all. After restarting, it still displays a torrent list instead of an empty list. Anyone know how to completely remove preferences?

This is on a MBA M1 running 11.4.

This happens to me every few months for the past year or so. I can't get qBittorrent to start properly, it just hangs. No amount of Mac restarts or qBittorrent restarts fixes it. Then it usually starts to work normally again after 2-4 days.

It has been reported here, and on GitHub and for some reason it still hasn't been fixed. I suspect, but it's just my wild guess, that there is some external tracker condition which triggers this error and that makes it very hard for developers to reproduce because they would need to be sharing the same problem torrent to replicate the issue.

Oh, man, I just posted about this because the same thing happened to me. It happened right after restarting with the 12.3 MacOS update so I thought it had something to do with that, but maybe not. I'd never seen it happen before.
