Solution to drops in high speed downloads. Possible?

Post by lesm »

If I download at full speed, then after some 60 seconds the speed drops to zero. However, if I manually cycle my download speed at 30 seconds hi and 30 seconds low or so then everything goes okay and I save lots of time. Is it possible to do that programmatically?

Sounds like a storage issue? Are you downloading MANY torrents at once? If you do, a hard drive (or even a bunch of them) will have a hard time keeping up with the traffic. Your only option is to limit speed OR you can use the Queue option. Basically set qBittorrent to only download 1-2 torrents at a time and then HDD can keep up.

Nope, the problem is not a HDD/SSD or computer related. Maybe it is an Internet Provider limitation despite of the fact that they say it is not.
