Search feature finds no results.

I am using a VPN, and the network interface is limited to that tunnel.
It "always worked" - (torrent went into that interface )except that the search did not use that interface but got routed into the VPN anyway.
After upgrading to Ubuntu 22.04 (maybe just a coincidence.) - torrents still work fine but the search feature produces no results. (many search plugins enabled)
What should I do to troubleshoot?
