When I reopen qBittorrent, I see all finished torrents are gone.
I want to seed. For a few days.

I haven't ever had torrents disappear. Computer is on 24/7 but have rebooted without issue.
I'm personally waiting for some more time before jumping to the 4.4.X branch.

Yeah just extracted the .exe file following the wiki instructions.
