There is dark theme support. It's been supported for many, many months now. You just have to pick a dark theme you like.

I use QBT on TrueNAS core based on freebsd in a jail. And it is really hard to integrate a webui theme. Would you know if there will be a integrated dark theme in future releases?

Well, I don't know about TrueNAS. I did try to see if anything can be done, but this is the only thing I get if I try to install anything on it:
