qbittorrent only establishes connection when tcptrack monitoring interface

Attemped incoming connections to my qbittorrent running on a Tinker Board only become established, if I am actively monitoring the interface (eth0.1) at the time. Otherwise the connection attempt simply times out

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Managed to solve this for myself by NOT using a macvlan interface and using a network namespace to isolate traffic coming from my VPN (airvpn.org) with dedicated port forwarding.
