When I go to update, a window says qbittorrent is running and I amm unable to update till it is turned off. As far as I can tell qb is not running. What should I do?

Open Task Manager and close qbittorrent there.
If you can't see it, go to Details tab and close the qBittorrent.exe from there.

Then update should work OK.
