You need the .torrent file. Add it to qBittorrent and choose as download directory the place where you already downloaded the content. qBittorrent will detect the already existing files and seed them.

Note that in v2.5.0, an existing torrent import tool will be added (already implemented in SVN), to make this task for user-friendly.

The behavior of this function might have changed throughout versions.

In any case, if the torrent consists of a single file, you just point qBittorrent to the directory where the file is. Beware that if you changed the file name from within qBittorrent when originally downloading it, it won't match.

If the torrent consists of a directory, you currently need to point qB to the directory above it, but if I recally correctly, in some versions you had to point to the actual directory and not the one above. The directory name and file names issue still applies, of course.
