I've read alot of posts in this thread, most of them very technical.
But I have yet to see a simple explanation as to whether the 64-bit version is better than the 32-bit in any way. What are the advantages of it?
Thanks!

32 bit app can use 2048 MB ram max, but to be sure qbt will don't crash you have to limit qbt to ~1200MB.
With qbt 64 bit version you can use 4096 MB ram max for now and qbt will don't crash cause qbt never reach the limit of a 64 bit app.
You need a lot of ram only if you upload at hight speed a lot of torrents and your hdd is busy, so if you have fiber optic you should use 64 bit version else you can stay on 32bit.

Thanks for the clarification.
So basically you are saying that the x64 version of qB is beneficial if I have a lot of active torrents and very high transfer speeds, which uses more RAM.
But what is the impact of using the 32 bit version with too many torrents at high speeds (i.e. fiber optic)? Does it prevent from reaching maximum speed? Does it slow down the computer? What is the negative effect?
I hope my questions are not too dumb. Thanks.

No, Yes, depends.
Re: Unofficial 64-bit installer/archive 3.0.[6-11]/3.1.[0-10]/3.2.0alpha
The distributed official version is 32bit (on Windows). What is the negative effect?
So that's where the feedback comes from.
You may meet unknown issue/bugs, etc.
Re: Unofficial 64-bit installer/archive 3.0.[6-11]/3.1.[0-10]/3.2.0alpha
Looks like 3.2 stable has been released for x86 -- is there a x64 version coming soon?

Any likelihood of a UI update in 3.3?

I think there will .
You can however right click the tab and change it to ''icons with text'' and such, try it out. Im using ''text nexto icons'' formation.

Re: Unofficial 64-bit installer/archive 3.0.[6-11]/3.1.[0-10]/3.2.0alpha
Every time I restart my qBitTorrent x64 I get a notification there's an update to version 3.2, which of course isn't out yet for x64. Is there any possibility that future x64 versions can be configured to only check for new x64 versions, so they don't give false x86 upgrade notices?
Re: Unofficial 64-bit installer/archive 3.0.[6-11]/3.1.[0-10]/3.2.0alpha
Restart qBitTorrent?! Blasphemy! I had over 1TB uploaded on my last session before I restarted to install the 64bit version. Now back up to 500GB.

Check our github, you can see the milestones there (and what features are assigned for which milestone).

Only you know that, so why does it matter?I had over 1TB uploaded on my last session before I restarted to install the 64bit version. Now back up to 500GB.
Re: Unofficial 64-bit installer/archive 3.0.[6-11]/3.1.[0-10]/3.2.0alpha
He probably means that its very stable running long sessions. I can say the same about stability.
Re: Unofficial 64-bit installer/archive 3.0.[6-11]/3.1.[0-10]/3.2.0alpha
Yes, very stable. Great software. Can't say that for the other popular Windows torrent software.
