Install from source (debian jessie)

i would like to install the latest version of qbittorrent (from tarball) on debian jessie. how would one go about that?

Most of what you want should be located here: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorr ... ompilation

Be warned however, this is likely problematic... and there is pre-compiled packages in the repos of "jessie" (testing) version 2.9.8 or experimental, version 3.0.9. Shouldn't be any more risky using pre-compiled vs using local compiled version. Even though Debian wouldn't approve.

Experimental has 3.0.9 packaged. So maybe you could download the package source and build it yourself for jessie.

I ended up compiling it myself from source (3.2.0 alpha)
so far so good but i have a feeling that i should have compiled 3.1.0 version :)
