The capture pictures are hardly readable, and for anyone who has bad eyesight they can forget it

You mean the captcha, right?
Which one exactly?

The one you have to pass at registration?

I don't understand what zaax mean, but if it's about Captcha, there is a "reload" button, so the picture can be changed until you see some you can read.

So it's the registration.
Well, if you are blind, just message me through shiki.hu
(Literally, jaws/orca could read up the top news.)

Or even on this site, there is a contact on top.

I mean... I can't just remove the CAPTCHA. And reCaptcha... spammers got armies of reCaptcha solvers working each day.
So yeah, our choices are quite limited.
If you have any other method compatible with SMF, don't hesitate. I'm more than open to any idea that could improve the site.

in my experience CAPTCHA's are broken by design, I use comment moderation like on phpBB I use antispam acp and I also disabled two timezones that spambots like to register in and made use of palindrome questions that a user has to enter IE eve etc

We use several modules, Cloudflare's anti-spam (even countries are blocked), whitelist mail providers.
Not that I complain. After several years of spam-ful times (it was a rollarcoaster ride), we are finally clean.

We had no spam for a long time now.
(Part of that is we switched to Gmail so we can send out millions mails to non-existing recipients. Thus they never get to register.)

So! This captcha thing is the only problem.
Well, well. I will switch it lower and let's hope that will let people register (and still keep fakes out).
