search function for the search results window
search function for the search results window
To me qbittorrent is definitely the best bittorrent client out there. I`m only missing one thing:
How about having a search function for the search results window?
How about having a search function for the search results window?
Re: search function for the search results window
You mean something like the one on the right hand end of the toolbar?

Unfortunately this is a bad UI design. That field always filters the torrents in the transferlist no matter which tab is focused...

Yes, a separate search entry-field for the search results would be really great to have!
Cheers

Does "bad UI design" mean, that you would have to redesign everything from scratch,
instead of being able to add a new feature?
Sorry, I personally don't have any knowledge about coding.

The search bar at the top right corner shouldn't be there, because it only filters the torrents in the transfer list and nothing else.Does "bad UI design" mean, that you would have to redesign everything from scratch,

The search bar at the top right corner to me is perfectly o.k.
To set things clear, for me as a mere user it would be nice, to have three seperate search instances:
One for the transfer list, one for the dowloaded files list and another one for the search result window.
Sorry, if I haven't used the appropriate terms, but I hope, I have made myself acceptably clear.

Re: search function for the search results window
When you have selected the "search" tab and you see a search bar at the top right corner, one might thing that it filters the results in the search tab since it is the active tab.
So it either should be expanded to filter those results when the search tab is selected or hidden where that search tab is active.

Yeah, I think that´ s what I meant. Thanks for having made the effort to clarify things.
