Different peer count in tracker vs transfer window?
Different peer count in tracker vs transfer window?
Why do the trackers show more Peers than the torrent transfer?
Re: Different peer count in tracker vs transfer window?
Trackers show X peers, all the peers they have.
But:
- qBittorrent honors your connection limits.
- You cannot connect to each of one of these peers. (they have no upload slot, they have no direct connection, etc.)
- They cannot connect to you. (you have no slots left, etc.)
Personal experience is, that the bigger the swarm, the slower you will get your data.
It's not qBittorrent, but bittorrent in general.

Re: Different peer count in tracker vs transfer window?
What I'd like to see is the total number of seeders and peers so I can discern the health of a torrent.
Re: Different peer count in tracker vs transfer window?
You will never get the actual numbers, trackers cache peer IDs and with clients that can and/or do send random IDs to trackers, they may well be counted multiple times.
Re: Different peer count in tracker vs transfer window?
You're contacting the same trackers multiple times under slightly different announce URLs, so no surprise many of those are identical.
