Ok, I have seen this post in the Windows portion of the forum, and I am having the same problem via Docker.

I REALLY need to register (and more than happy to pay) but cannot because it will not allow it as the local address via port 8080 is not HTTPS.

PLEASE help... is there a way to do this with a file placed on the NAS purchased or does it have to be via and inaccessible interface?

I take it by the lack of reply there is no way?

So what is that you are trying to do?
Copy out a magnet link for a torrent that's on the NAS?

If you select "Register to handle magent links" under the Tools menu, you get the message "To use this feature, the WebUI needs to be accessed over HTTPS". That seems to be a dead end.
