In the PPAs the kubuntu 20.04 is still using qbittorrent 4.3.9 instead of 4.4.2

Does anyone know when will 4.4.2 be released to kubuntu 20.04 LTS

Never. Ubuntu 20.04 uses too old packages. See news: https://www.qbittorrent.org/news.php
Feel free to use the AppImage.. but honestly, the 4.3.9 version works super fine. The new 4.4.x branch brought some instability to people so unless you REALLY REALLY need the new version, just stay on the old one.

Thanks Peter. I'm running 4.1.7. I was trying to get the newer version in the hopes that it would save my searches so that I could just start the app, click on a saved search to search again. But the ubuntu package manager said 4.4.1 AppImage was in an invalid format, so I don't know how to install it.
Does the newer version save searches; not the results just the part that I type?

So wait, if the PPA is still 4.3.9, then you are all good, just add PPA and use it.

I don't think 4.3.9 (and prev) had this new AppImage but FIXME.
If you really want a newer version, 4.4.2 should work fine though. Only 4.4.0 had some problems.

I don't want 4.4.2, I want 4.3.9, that's why I complained that the old archives does not have 4.3.9. IF I wanted 4.4.2 then I would have installed it and not made an account for this special request for 4.3.9.

What is the PPA for 4.3.9? and instructions for FIXME?
