Can I stop the new version check in 4.3.9?

Post by DigitalSin69 »

tl;dr How do I turn off the check for a new version?

I updated from 4.3.9 to 4.4.2. Ran into the well reported bug (hang DOA) about moving the data file and lack of dialog box popup... That is a stopper for using 4.4.2

rolled back to 4.3.9 and am wallowing in it.

fairly often am reminded by a popup that there is a newer version available. Yup. Been there. Rolled back. Using the T-Shirt to wipe with.

How do I get the update reminder to either piss off and remember that I asked it to, or simply stop the check for update in the first place? Have checked the documentation and searched this (mac) forum.

Settings -> and just scroll down, "Check for software updates".

Sheesh! Not sure which is worse - that I didn't even look for queueing or that I did look to disable updates and din't see this.
