Increase speed to a peer

Post by TraspenG »

Sometimes I'll download an old torrent that has a seed (or two if I'm lucky) and it takes a few days or more to download. When it's complete I'll notice one or two other peers attached to me and that they're pulling maybe 1 or 2 KiB/s... Is there any way to allocate more speed to these peers so they don't have to wait days to finish?

I usually only have that (and maybe one other) torrent running and have ample upload capacity to give them.

By the way... I've been using qB for a few months now and can't believe that people aren't converting from uT in droves. I've had nothing but positive experiences with it and am impressed with its massive speed and capabilities. Keep up the good work!

Nope, the remote end controls the speed that you can get pieces at, and the remote end controls the rate that pieces are requested. your client settings can only limit the speeds, not make them quicker.
